u see i've got this problem everything fine n good n thanx to u guys for helping me but i still have a problem well my problem is how i stop from my external ip from changing well i heard about a create a "box" well what was that n plz any1 tell how to stop my external ip from changing n when the internet got disconnect n it will change automatically n i use a WAN connection n it is a static PPPoE n a D-Link Router D1-704P, well plz help me here how do i get a permanent external ip for my HLDS ... plz:confused:

Use a dynamic DNS service which tracks your IP address. Then, you'll just give your address out:
eg: myserver.muppets.com
http://www.noip.com
http://www.tzo.com
Just to name a few.
With some service providers, you can actually force the IP address which your router uses ( as long as it's still available in the dhcp pool ).. you can give it a try.. don't ask me how to do it, I'm not in the mood for writing essays today ;) Check your manual out for your router and see if it supports it. If your ISP doesn't support that, then you'll just have to stick with idea #1, or purchase a static IP address from your ISP.
