Dedicated Server Problem: No one can join my server!

hey guys

i know this is quite a common problem but there is still no i know that can fix it!

the thing is, when i create a HLDS [normal server works], no one can join! it says that the server is NOT RESPONDING. but since im on LAN, my other computer is able to join the HLDS, but other people not in the LAN can't do so. I've already set the HLDS to be ran on thE INTERNET not LAN so theres still a question mark there


i hope someone can find a fix to this rather common problem!

Btw: some comp specs
Wireless Lan + Router, 100mb/s connection, 2.4ghz, 512mb ram.

what kinda router?
u probly need to forward ur server port on the router to the IP of the puter on the inside running the server. (default port is 27015)
it is easy to do. find the brand, then go to their site and look up port forwarding.

err thanks but i tried going to my Router's web, nothing on the forwarding thing, and i did so with the my Modem, nothing on the forawrding as well

i searched yahoo, lots of it but i dont know which is the approriate one lol im a computer ch00b :/ please help me i dont know much about comps lol

same problem here...havnt got a router...dunno wot it is? my ip is 82.32.18.229:27016 it says server not responding if i make one on steam it works fine (except for lagg)lol
