How do u open up ports andstuff?

Hey, my problem is that i think i have a firewall thing, which cause my server to be a LAN or something. So, i have windows XP and i went to my control panel andnetwork connections, and click the LAN or high speed interent properties, ( i have MSn broadband powered byqwest,a DSL connection i think) and the internet connection firewall wasnt up, so i dont know wat it is. So, how dou open certain routes, and ports and stuff, so everyone can connect.

did you switched off the windows firewall ??

To turn it off go to the control pannel and open network conections. then left click on your Lan/Internet and choose properties. in there you go to advanced and disable the firewall.

if it's allready off then it may be that your cs game isnt well configured !
