WIN2k Problems

I can run a server on win2k, but i cant play. I get this WSANOTSOCK problem.

crap the pic didnt work.. it's http://www.angelfire.com/games2/dank/problem1.jpg ... well i opened halflife and i put cs on..i looked for a server in half life and it works there..it wont work with gamespy..does anyone know why ?

Try running cstrike with -noipx appended to it. That looks like an IPX error.

try only to install tcp/ip and netbeui for local networking. Hm, i run w2ks and as and i never had that problem, there might be something wrong with your half-life install. Other then that it probably is necessary to know your settings in w2k which are unfortunately quite complex - did u install any extra services or anything thats not default ? also check you logs and see if w2k reports any errors with starting services - thata usually the first place to look, and make sure all your necessary services ARE started, look through it an check that too
Maybe u can post some more info - i am sure it would help and some other people may come up with more ideas...
